Do you wonder what these are?
Birdhouses built in atop a
Frank Lloyd Wright house in Buffalo!
Listening to: An appropriately titled song for today. (And muppets are always a good thing!)
Today's Bliss Formula: Sitting at the Co-op, enjoying stress-free, totally super fast internet connection. And a Naked Well Being Vitamin C juice (an advantage of working in a grocery store cafe!).
Teaching my car free class at the co-op this past Tuesday, an older gentleman commented that he was hoping to learn something about "thinking outside the box," because, he added, so few people are really capable of that, which, of course, got me to thinking.
I am constantly challenging myself to think of new ways to do things. New ways to approach the same old same old, and I guess this is what creativity is all about.
It's a way of thinking that is well applied to any aspect of your life -- whether you are painting a portrait, decorating a room, or thinking about your spiritual needs.
And his comment reminded me of this great exercise from a book by Susan G. Wooldridge (an interview with her is in the works), entitled Foolsgold.
I wonder if asking, inside and out, may well be at the heart of a creative way of being in the world...We want to make our asking as large and world-opening as possible...Visionary activist Caroline Casey advises that we ask with the words I wonder...The words I wonder seem to open the way for a solution or at least a possibility...
Write several lines beginning with the words I wonder. Are there some closed-off areas in your life that might be opened with these words? Play with the words I wonder in your business, your daily life, and your writing. I wish, I dream, I imagine. Notice what happens when you begin to quietly ask within and without. See how your world deepens, and allow what you need and dream to come forth.
I would love to hear what you all come up with...

Fantastic idea and one I will play with tomorrow.
Thank you for always giving me something worthy to think about.
"Start to understand that you are the creative source and nucleous of the whole vibratory effect. The moment you understand that, your problem is solved. The moment you know that you are you, your problems are over. The moment you know that you are you, God and you are one, because you are the Creator and He is the Creator." - Yogi Bhajan
Practice your creativity!
We say in Brazil "get out off the bubble" (the same of your "thinking outside the box").
Training is a wonderful key point. But don´t expect to have a big idea to start a practive. In your everyday life, put small new things!
Welcome, Monisee from Brazil! And thanks for the excellent and essential point you made about the small stuff. Because yes, it's the little steps every day that add up!
