InnerBliss: Original Pet Art Giveaway

This past Friday, May 1st, we celebrated the Feast Day of Jobie. In the above picture, he was about one.

As I have written about before, we lost Jobie to kidney disease in January of 2008, mere months before I started this blog and very much the reason I started this blog, actually. I needed to be reminded of the bliss that remains even in the face of deep sadness.

Jobie was in his 16th year, and he was the being that first taught me about Unconditional Love, preparing me for when Marcy would show up about a year and a half after him.

I miss him terribly, but I know he is still with me and has sent me Lilly.

We say that Lilly is Jobie's newest fur suit, who is now residing in his Sparkle Suit, as we all will one day.

His birthday, since his passing, has become his Feast Day.

To celebrate, we are giving away art.

More specifically, Marcy is giving away art over at Ordinary Enchantment.

One of the main reasons Marcy paints is to express the joy that our fur companions bring to our lives, and now she also hopes to create Memorial Icons for people to remember that joy when that fur companion transitions to Sparkle Companion.

You can win one of two, original, based-on-your pet (whether still seen or unseen), Wee!Arts. Here's a sample of Wee!Art:

To make original art more affordable, Marcy and I came up with Wee!Art. The pieces you can win are 4 by 6 inches, gauche on heavy watercolor paper.

To win, visit her blog and leave a comment about a fur companion, seen or unseen, who has made or is making a big impact on your life. Just leave a sentence or two about what your fur companion means or meant to you.

She'll be taking comments until Sunday, May 10th at 5 PM, at which time, Zoe the rabbit will draw two winners.

Good luck! And for more samples of already made Wee!Art (and other things) visit Marcy's Etsy store.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the life of a beloved cat.

Sweet kitty, by the way. I'm biased towards tuxedo cats.

I have a spirit tuxedo cat in my heart too. He died last May. Jobie looks like a sweetie pie.

Wish me luck over at Marcy's (tho after reading Lucy's comment, I kinda hope she wins.)
