Yesterday was a pretty exciting day here in the Lilypad.
First, Marcy and I got new hair! (I love how grumpy Lilly looks in this photo.)
Mine is chocolate and pink -- like candy!
This is a very big deal for me.
I have had a hard time with my hair turning white. I think, well, that's what my hair is doing. And it's white, so it's quite lovely. But people don't see me -- they see my hair...in a negative way.
Also, I am craving more fun and sparkle...more "flying" as my word for the year is FLY after all!
Candy hair was just the fix I needed, it turns out. When I saw the final product, I actually SQUEALED!
I said, "It's like my hair has wanted to be this color all along!"
Second, and a bit more serious, a reader informed me that blisschick.net was mentioned in Skirt! Magazine in Atlanta, Georgia.
Another SQUEAL! Seriously.
She was kind enough to scan it and send it to me:

How utterly cool is that?!

The pink and chocolate hair totally suit you! Lately I've been flirting with the idea of a few colourful streaks in my hair. Something to help me stand out a bit more. Perhaps I'll have to talk to my hair dresser about it at my next appointment.

The hair looks awesome! I've always believed we should make our hair look like whatever we want! I've been a firey redhead for years, (with a natural coppery red base) and its only lately I've decided I like being more browny-red.

I love the way cats can look very grumpy without changing much about their expression at all! ;)
